DP Mall was the first mall in Semarang to introduce the travelator technology allowing visitors to bring their shopping carts anywhere in the mall. Operating since 2007, DP Mall is located in the golden triangle area in the city center. It is located close to the office of the mayor of Semarang and the historical Lawang Sewu building. It was constructed on 2.6 hectares of land.
